3 Sunday Morning Thoughts – June 14 Edition

Written by Bryan Lutz, Editor at Dollarcollapse.com:

Ah, Summer Sundays…

This week in Vancouver, Canada, the temperature has slowly been moving up the thermostat. We’ve gone from the mid 60s (Fahrenheit) to the low 80s.

So, the cool of the morning (I get up at 5AM) has been clearing quicker.

Here’s what we do.

Every Sunday I share a few thoughts with you, and other subscribers at Dollar Collapse.

Sometimes we’ll talk about economics, sometimes recent events, and other times, life.

Alright, here are three thoughts for this morning:

1. Chess is one of the best hobbies of the wealthy, and anyone can play.

Do you play Chess?

I like it. It’s one of those hobbies that signals value, intelligence, and strategic thinking without the “old money” posturing of sailing, language learning, golf, equestrian sports, or fly fishing. Most of which I have no taste for with the exceptions of fly fishing, and sailing(which I haven’t really had the time to explore yet).

I’ve been learning Chess consistently for about two years. It’s one of the best hobbies that can move you through barriers of social class without having to make concessions in conversation about your day job. Whatever you’ve made that nowadays.

That being said, if you are wealthy, Chess is one of those hobbies that can create a positive impact on those around you. Those who know, know what I’m about to say. It teaches you a lot about life. Linear thinking. Non-linear thinking. Rationality over emotion, and how to project emotions where necessary. A person’s project planning, as well as life planning can also improve.

On top of all that, if you’ve ever watched professional chess matches then you’ve seen players analyze games with their opponent after a loss. That’s because chess can also teach you top-tier performance. The goal is never the outcome. Sometimes you can do your best, and things still won’t work out in your favor. So the point is to enjoy the pursuit of excellence in the moment – enjoy the process…

Apply that where you will.

So, to sum this thought up. Anyone can play chess. It can create a kind of social bridge that benefits those in your community. And, it can raise people out of poverty.

Or provide a hustler with their daily bread. Your choice.

2.  Looks like the whole “COVID didn’t come from a lab” narrative is about to get blown up, or will it? Here’s what the future may look like.

This week, Tulsi Gabbard, admitted the US government has been funding massive amounts of gain-of-function research around the world. Her disclosure focused on Ukraine, but we all know what she was saying.

Fauci knowingly funded gain-of-function research around the world with government impunity. And you know what? Despite the exposure, there will still be people who knowingly approve of Dr.Fauci, and who still wear masks in the great outdoors, and who still live in fear of the next plandemic.

This is what the future may look like. For starters, we no longer have narratives competing for hegemony. We have multiple narratives that people willingly accept. Imagine a series of narratives on a truth table (T/T, T/F, F/T, F/F) everything is now an option.

Unfortunately, the only justice we may find are the choices we can make.

So, find your place in the great network of options (with the one great option being the surrender to BIG government)…

If you believe that, you might be interested in this:

I got part of this interpretation from Mark Jeftovic’s “The Blueprint: Surviving and Thriving in an Overclocked Timeline”. You can get on the pre-release mailing list, here, at The Sovereign Capitalist. Scroll down to the bottom and enter your email.

3. The SpaceX IPO has come and gone. Elon is a trillionaire, and the most interesting reactions are coming from our career politicians.

If it’s alright with you, I’m going to skip talking about SpaceX and just go straight for the commies.

I have yet to meet an average person in Vancouver who can explain the Cantillon Effect, or how career politicians get rich. Even our very own, Jagmeet “Minister of Pensions” Singh who sold out the NDP to the Liberals, stood for nothing, and lasted long enough as party leader to suffer the biggest federal seat loss in history for his multi-million dollar pension to switch on… He isn’t even questioned. But alas, this is about Merica.

Look here, Elizabeth Warren, career Democrat and multi-millionaire wants to redistribute wealth.

She thinks that socialism will make things fair. Well, Musk made thousands of millionaires with SpaceX’s IPO. Over the course of the building SpaceX Musk redistributed equity of the company. Those people who worked hard received their fair share. Yet, even those people are to blame for wealth inequality.

Either way, wealth was made to be enjoyed, but envy makes it so that some people can’t even enjoy what they already have.

This summer I’m going to use my Starlink receiver once again. While I am comfortably siting inside our family cabin that our grandfather built over looking a lake, on land that he purchased from building homes, I am going to give a good think about all the things I enjoy that someone else built. Then I’m going to open the Starlink app on my phone and look at all the people connected to my router who hate on Elon Musk and be glad that I am a provider too. I am so thankful for what happens when you leave people alone: Capitalism.
