Every Sunday morning I sit down to write a few thoughts.
Sometimes these thoughts end up being about life, other times they are on gold, geopolitical issues affecting the markets, or the economy.
Here are three thoughts for this morning:
1. Government deficit spending is racing toward the fiscal cliff so fast it could peel your eyelids back. If you thought interest payments on federal debt were going down Q2 data just came in.
The US federal government spent $689 Billion in August, but only brought in $344 Billion.
That leaves $345 Billion worth of debt.
The big print hasn’t even started yet, but you can see where this is going.
As far as spending goes, net interest payment on federal debt is in third place.
Fed data for Q2 2025 shows exactly where it’s going…
2. If you were wondering what free speech looks like on the left, look no further than the Son of Soros, Alex Soros. It is the exact opposite of Charlie Kirk’s grass root engagement.
This clip of Alex Soros pontificating his thoughts on democracy has been making its way around twitter.
Alex Soros is not particularly smart or eloquent.
He inherited the George Soros billions $$$ and sounds like Kamala Harris word salad.

Alex says democracy is “um…uh…tricky” because it’s hard to know how to deal with the contestations.
He and his father, George Soros have been working their hardest to influence the thoughts that govern free speech for decades.
Millions and millions of their fortune has gone toward funding democrat campaigns, supporting non-profits, and the media in order to create bias in favor of bigger, open government.
But one of the biggest ways they’ve campaigned to influence the democratic outcome is through buying voters. They’ve spent billions to change policy on immigration and asylum seekers.
In 2015, from his own website, Soros wrote:
Rebuilding the Asylum System
“The European Union needs to accept responsibility for the lack of a common asylum policy, which has transformed this year’s growing influx of refugees from a manageable problem into yet another political crisis.
Each member state has selfishly focused on its own interests, often acting against the interests of others.
This precipitated panic among asylum seekers, the general public, and the authorities responsible for law and order.
Asylum seekers have been the main victims.”
Instead of engaging with these victims on a grassroots level like Charlie Kirk did in his own country, they do something else. They don’t help them work to change their own countries…The Soros family finds it more profitable to deal with the “contestations of democracy” by facilitating invasion.
Make government the Savior.
Change the population.
Own the government.
Charlie Kirk’s grassroots initiative for free speech was the exact opposite.
Engage the people.
Change the citizens.
Influence government.

3. France cannot be fixed. Aside from the massive government spending on asylum seekers and refugees take a look at how much pensioners are getting paid.
The French government collapsed again this week.
Earlier this year, France’s “far-right,” populist candidate, Marine Le Pen won 143 seats losing to a surge on the left.
Le Pen, the “far-right” candidate wanted to curve immigration, stop asylum seekers, and get government spending under control.
(They’ve now found a way to kick her off the ballot for another few years.)
So nothing has changed.
And that makes the results of France’s social security that much mor obvious…
Yesterday, the Financial Times released a report on government service to pensioners. As it turns out, French pensioners now have higher incomes than working-age adults.
No wonder you see so many African asylum seekers wooing elderly retirees into a late marriage. Her salary can afford asylum seekers a generous lifestyle.
Plus, they get to apply for citizenship after three years of giving the wham, bam, thank you, mam… to the old broads.
If you don’t want to work hard to earn your living, that’s a pretty good deal.
