“And God said to Noah, “I have determined to make an end of all flesh, for the earth is filled with violence through them. Behold, I will destroy them with the earth…
…You are to take every kind of food that is to be eaten and store it away as food for you and for them.”
~ Genesis 6:13,21

Since you’re here, you’ve probably been inundated by the many survival food advertisements in this wilderness we call the internet.
Get this bucket…
Get that package…
And in a recent video, I saw a collapse guru argue “you need three years worth of food.”
Since the same guru is predicting everything dreadful, all-the-time, everywhere, you can bet that if you believe him, you’ll need three years worth of survival food, but…
You can never be too prepared, right?
However, there is an easier and quicker way to prepare your pantry in the event of some kind of a disaster without thinking too hard.
And that means stocking up on food that almost never expires.
You can find almost all of the following items at Costco, or your local supermarket:
- Salt (Store in mylar bag. Use to preserve meats.)
- Sugar (Store in mylar bag.)
- Honey (Inhospitable to bacteria.)
- Canned Meat (Canning process makes inhospitable to bacteria.)
- White Rice (Store in mylar bag. Can last up to 30 years.)
- Pasta & Noodles (Can last up to 20 – 30 years. Store in airtight bags, 5 Gallon containers with oxygen absorbers.)
- Beans (Rich in protein and fibre. Can last over 30 years.)
- Canned Fruits & Vegetables (Helps maintain balanced diet. Can last years past expiration date.)
- Alcohol (Indefinite shelf life. Can also be used for medical purposes.)
- Rolled Oats (Can last up to 20 to 30 years)
- Powdered Milk (Reliable Milk alternative.)
If you’re tired of the ads, or even if you don’t want to think too much, these items are a great starting point – the basic foundation for food prepping in a survival situation or in a collapse.
