“I did my best, it wasn’t much
I couldn’t feel, so I tried to touch
I’ve told the truth, I didn’t come to fool you
And even though it all went wrong
I’ll stand before the Lord of Song
With nothing on my tongue but Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah”

As more power is transferred from Federal Agencies to the States, some stocks will prosper.
For example, U-haul.
Why?
It’s not because U-Haul recently issued its first ever quarterly dividend.
(On March 5, 2025, U-Haul Holding Company declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.05 per share on its Series N Non-Voting Common Stock, payable on March 28, 2025, to holders of record on March 17, 2025.)
It’s because when the going gets tough…
When crime prospers…
When children get forced ideologies in schools…
When the cost of living gets to be too much…
And governments make choices like the raising of taxes.
Taxes become nails in the coffin.
So, people finally have enough.
They move to greener pastures.
Because if you could choose, why stay some place that willingly makes your life harder?
Here’s where people moved from during 2022 – 2023, State by State:
And, if you were to look closer, you’d see my point.
Take a look at how State income taxes have changed since the year 2000, which doesn’t include environmental levies on gasoline, property taxes, or capital gains increases.
You can see which States favor higher taxes.
The same States that favor higher taxes are the States with shrinking in population.
That being said, with more States looking to implement their own political perspectives, more people will want to pack up their things and move to the promised land of freedom of prosperity in their good ol’ fashioned U-Haul.
The green line is U-Haul(UHAL), and the red line is the NASDAQ 100 (NDX).
U-Haul is included in the NASDAQ.
So it follows a similar trend.
However, if you look closely, you can see a cyclical pattern over the last several years.
U-Haul hits a bottom in early June and then spikes up.
***People move in the Summer.***
Each year U-Haul drops below the NASDAQ and then pushes up above.
So, with all the political changes this year, investors in U-haul may be singing a U-Haulelujah when UHAL tops in September.
