It looks as though Zelensky and NATO may be tying the knot.
Trump’s foot is in the half-way through the cathedral door, and…
The rest of NATO are all-in on funding Ukraine into the unforeseeable future.
At least, as long as NATO can continue to permit the bombing of Russia’s allies, the dramatic love triangle will remain.
The Kiev Post reports:
NATO Commits $40B in Security Aid for Ukraine at Summit Kick-Off
“NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte insisted Monday that Ukraine would have the alliance leaders’ ears and full attention despite their members-only working session during the Hague summit, which will formally kick off today amid a geopolitical storm fueled by tension over Iran.
“Let’s not forget, Iran is heavily involved in the fight of Russia against Ukraine by, for example, their drone deliveries, which are killing innocent Ukrainians every day, in cities, in communities, without any respect for life,” Rutte said.
Speaking to reporters on the eve of the two-day summit in the Netherlands, the NATO civilian leader described Russia as the alliance’s “most significant and direct threat” and highlighted the members’ commitment to providing “unwavering and persistent” support to Ukraine.”
NATO is bent on a lasting alliance with Ukraine, and…
According to Martin Armstrong NATO’s leader, “Rutte said that Ukraine’s path to NATO is “irreversible.””
So Trump will supply the fireworks.
The military industrial complex has been in full production sending missiles and bombs over to Israel, and now Trump “sees” the need to get in on the anti-air action in Ukraine.
The Kyiv Independent reports,
Trump signals support for sending more Patriot missiles to Ukraine
“Washington will “see” whether it can supply Kyiv with additional missiles for its Patriot air defense systems, U.S. President Donald Trump said during the NATO summit in The Hague on June 25 as Russia escalates its air strikes against Ukraine.
“They (Ukraine) do want to have the anti missiles, as they call them, the Patriots, and we’re going to see if we can make some available,” Trump said.
“They are very hard to get. We need them too. We are supplying them for Israel, and they are very effective.
After the meeting with Trump earlier in the day, Zelensky said that the two discussed the purchase of American air defense systems to shield Ukrainian cities and critical infrastructure.”
Spending keeps getting higher on NATO defense, with nothing changing from the Trump administration.
In fact, the NATO budget hasn’t changed from the US side in 10 years.
Trump the dealmaker doesn’t seem to want to cut off Ukraine entirely, and he’s still tied the US at the hip to Europe.
Despite his reluctance, conflict created by those in the US sphere of influence is driving nations (and ideological partners China and Iran) closer together.
When states begin to nationalize, forge alliances, and bring their wars to other continents, you know the money printer is about to fire up.
$40B may be the commitment from NATO, but according to Trump, bullets are forever.
